Southside of Edinburgh based hybrid working available once on-boarded but must be within commutable distance to the office
Full Time 35 hours per week Monday to Friday
ASAP start Interim temp contract role for 3 months to cover absence
Daily rate of up to 250 per day (depending on skills & relevant experience in the field)

Search Consultancy are working with a well-known Edinburgh based client in the housing services sector to recruit an experienced Housing Manager on an interim Temp basis.

This is a contract role that is scheduled to last for 3 months to cover an absence within the team, and has potential to be extended beyond this.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and overseeing the planning and effective delivery of housing services for the business, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, while meeting performance targets and ensuring excellent customer experience is provided throughout.

This role would ideally suit an experienced Housing Manager who is either keen to pick up short term contract work or who is in-between permanent roles.

Duties involved in this role will include:
Leading, managing and developing the housing team in the delivery of their services
Day to day line management of the team both as individuals and collectively – providing support where required
Ensuring that team & individual KPI\’s are understood & achieved – ensuring excellent service delivery to clients
Planning, spending & monitoring the department budget
Consistently implementing & ensuring the company values & culture are followed throughout the team in all aspects of the work undertaken
Ensuring that the company\’s housing strategy & vision are communicated throughout the business
Ensuring that all statutory & regulatory requirements for housing are followed
Reporting to the board on performance, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and service delivery
Working collaboratively with colleagues across multiple departments towards shared objectives – sharing knowledge & experience where required
Carrying out other ad hoc management duties as required

In order to be considered for this role your skills and experience should include:
Previous experience within a Housing Management or a Senior Housing role with management responsibilities – this experience is ESSENTIAL
Candidates with a Housing Qualification (CIH or equivalent) would be very much preferred, although this is not essential
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organisation & time management skills, with the ability to prioritise & complete a busy workload effectively
Solid IT Skills including the full MS Office suite
