Search are delighted to be working exclusively again with a boutique Health & Safety / CDM services business based in Cheshire. This position represents a succession hire. The current Managing Director joined the business in this role and has progressed into becoming the Managing Director role, and the business is now looking to appoint an ambitious Health & Safety professional who can follow a similar journey over the coming years. With the current Managing Director planning retirement within the next five years, this role offers a clear, tangible pathway into senior leadership and eventual business ownership for the right individual. The company plan to continue growing, so if you are interested in delivering CDM / H&S advice and not necessarily looking to lead a business in the future – we would also welcome your application.

Why this role stands out:

  • Genuine long–term progression into senior leadership and business ownership
  • Direct mentorship from an established Managing Director
  • Exposure to a wide variety of construction projects and clients
  • A respected consultancy with an excellent reputation in the market
  • A role designed around growth, development and succession rather than short–term cover

What you will be doing:

  • Providing competent Health & Safety / CDM advice to Construction and Facilities Management clients during the design and pre–construction phases
  • Supporting clients, designers, contractors and stakeholders to ensure compliance with CDM Regulations
  • Conducting design risk reviews and hazard identification workshops
  • Preparing and maintaining Pre–Construction Information (PCI) and Health & Safety Files
  • Developing Construction Phase Plans (CPP), Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Undertaking site inspections and audits across live construction environments
  • Providing ongoing Health & Safety support to contractors and sub–contractors
  • Monitoring statutory compliance for large property–owning organisations across the UK and Northern Ireland

What you will need to be considered:

  • Experience in a Health and Safety / CDM role within a Construction environment – auditing construction sites, producing RAMS and ideally Pre–Construction Information
  • Strong working knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015

Interested? The business is keen to move quickly and will be interviewing suitable candidates as applications are received. If you are a Health & Safety or CDM professional looking for a long–term opportunity with real progression, please apply now to avoid missing out. If this role is not quite right, but you are open to discussing other Health & Safety, HSE, CDM or HSEQ opportunities, feel free to get in touch for a confidential conversation.
