An established and growing financial planning practice in the Harrogate area is seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join its team. The business supports clients across retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, investments, and personal protection, delivering high-quality financial planning advice and excellent client outcomes.
This is an opportunity to work closely with financial advisers and clients, playing a key role in the delivery of comprehensive financial planning solutions.
The Role
The successful candidate will provide technical support throughout the advice process, conducting detailed research, analysing client circumstances, and producing high-quality suitability reports and recommendations.
You will work across the full client journey, liaising with advisers, administrators, and clients to ensure recommendations are accurately researched, documented, and implemented.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse client information and financial circumstances to support the development of financial planning recommendations.
- Conduct technical research across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning solutions.
- Produce clear, accurate, and compliant suitability reports.
- Review documentation and recommendations for accuracy, consistency, and technical integrity.
- Maintain client records and support the efficient processing of new and existing business.
- Respond to technical queries from colleagues and assist in delivering excellent client service.
- Prioritise workloads effectively to meet deadlines and service standards.
About You
- Previous experience as a Paraplanner within a financial planning environment.
- Strong report-writing and technical research skills.
- Good knowledge of pensions, investments, and protection products.
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable but not essential for candidates with strong paraplanning experience.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication abilities.
- A collaborative approach and commitment to delivering high standards of client service.
