️ Handyman / Maintenance Worker Summary: The Handyman/Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks on buildings, equipment, and facilities. This role ensures all systems operate safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and functional environment. Key Responsibilities: 🔧 General Maintenance & Repairs Perform minor electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs. Repair or replace faulty fixtures, such as lighting, sinks, faucets, and outlets. Patch and paint walls, repair drywall, and touch up interior/exterior surfaces. Install shelves, cabinets, blinds, and other fixtures as required. 🏠 Facility Upkeep Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment. Perform preventative maintenance to reduce the risk of breakdowns. Maintain cleanliness and safety of common areas, hallways, stairwells, etc. Replace light bulbs, air filters, and batteries in smoke detectors. 🧰 Tools & Equipment Safely operate hand and power tools. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools. Report the need for major repairs or replacements to supervisors. 🚪 Property Support Assist with apartment/unit turnover including patching walls, painting, cleaning, etc. Respond to tenant or occupant maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner. Ensure all work is compliant with local building codes and safety standards. Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a handyman, maintenance worker, or in a related field. Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing Ability to read technical manuals and drawings. Good communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Physically able to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform manual tasks. Preferred Qualifications: Vocational training or certification in building maintenance or related trades Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and local building codes. Work Environment: May work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. May require working in confined spaces or at heights. This is a temp ongoing role for the right person .
