Experienced Driving Recruitment Consultant £28,000 - £35,000 per annum + uncapped commission Glasgow City Centre

About this role

A desk with established clients and volume to work on from day one. The freedom and support to build on it however you see fit. That's the opportunity waiting for the right Recruitment Consultant in our Glasgow city centre office.

Search is a leading multi-discipline recruitment agency, backed by private equity and on an ambitious growth trajectory across our 13 specialisms and offices UK-wide. Our Driving and Logistics team has contracts in place with some of the biggest names in the logistics sector, giving you genuine volume to work on from your first week, recruiting across the central belt of Scotland.

We're not looking for someone happy to simply service what's already there, though. We want a Consultant with the drive and commercial instinct to go out and win new business too, backed by full back-office support, including payroll and compliance handled for you, so your time stays focused on clients and candidates, not admin. If you've got a track record in driving or logistics temp recruitment, and want a desk with real business already on it, plus the platform to build your own on top, this is the role for you.

Why join us?

  • Step into a desk with contracts already in place with major logistics players, giving you genuine business to work on from day one.
  • Recruit across the central belt of Scotland from our Glasgow city centre office, with real scope to grow your own client base alongside it.
  • Full back-office support, including payroll and compliance handled for you, so you can focus on clients and candidates rather than admin.
  • Join a business backed by private equity with genuinely ambitious growth plans, real investment, and real opportunity to grow your career alongside it.
  • Grow your career with a clear development plan, backed by award-winning training and 1:1 coaching from our dedicated Talent Development team.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the full recruitment process for driving and logistics clients across the central belt of Scotland, from taking the initial brief through to offer and placement.
  • Work established contracts with major logistics clients, delivering a consistently high level of service to protect and grow those relationships.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities across the driving and logistics sector, using market knowledge, networking, and a genuine appetite for sales.
  • Source, screen, and interview candidates for driving vacancies, including HGV Class 1 and 2 drivers and Transport Coordinators.
  • Manage the end-to-end candidate journey, providing a high level of service and keeping candidates engaged throughout the process.
  • Keep accurate records on our internal CRM, tracking vacancies, candidates, and client activity.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as a Recruitment Consultant within the temp driving and transport sector.
  • A genuine appetite for business development, comfortable picking up the phone, networking, and winning new clients, not just managing what's already there.
  • A strong track record of managing the full recruitment process, from client brief through to placement.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels, from candidates through to senior client stakeholders.
  • A proactive, resilient mindset, comfortable working to targets and managing a varied desk.

How you'll benefit

  • A lucrative, uncapped commission structure that rewards your performance.
  • Full back-office support, including payroll and compliance, plus marketing support, so you can focus on what you do best.
  • Access to premium recruitment tools, including industry-leading job boards.
  • Comprehensive, ongoing training and development from our award-winning Talent Development team.
  • Option to buy or sell holidays via salary sacrifice.
  • Quarterly and Annual HighFlyers events, plus our annual European getaway for top performers.
  • EV car benefit scheme via Tusker, and cycle to work scheme.
  • Retail, gym, and lifestyle discounts, plus financial wellbeing support through Tastecard.
