About this role

You know your way around a driving desk. You can spot the difference between a good Class 1 candidate and a great one, you understand what transport and logistics clients actually need, and you're ready to bring that experience to a business that will invest in you.

Search was founded right here in Glasgow back in 1987, and nearly 40 years on we've grown into a leading multi-discipline recruitment agency spanning 13 specialisms and offices across the UK. We're now looking for an experienced Recruitment Resourcer to join our Industrial and Driving team in our Glasgow city centre office. You'll be working across HGV, LGV, and van operator roles for a well-established base of transport and logistics clients, supporting two busy, high-performing consultants and fully supported by our Associate Director of Industrial and Driving.

This is a driving desk with genuine pace and volume behind it, if you enjoy a fast-moving environment where every day brings new roles to fill, you'll feel right at home.

Why join us?

  • Step straight into an established, high-volume driving desk, working alongside two experienced consultants who know the sector inside out.
  • Bring your sector knowledge to a business that already has the client relationships - your job is to resource brilliantly, not build a book from scratch.
  • Grow your career with a clear development plan, backed by award-winning training and 1:1 coaching from our dedicated Talent Development team.
  • Join a down-to-earth, driven team that celebrates success; from axe throwing and fine dining to our annual European getaway for top performers.

What you'll be doing

  • Source and screen HGV, LGV, and van operator candidates for temporary and permanent placements across our transport and logistics client base.
  • Conduct candidate interviews, register them accurately on our internal CRM, and assess suitability against client requirements, including licence checks and compliance.
  • Manage shift bookings and allocations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across a high-volume desk.
  • Act as the main point of contact for your candidates, handling queries and providing ongoing support throughout their assignments.
  • Work closely with your two consultants to keep client requirements filled quickly and reliably, flagging any risks to delivery early.
  • Support the wider team with day-to-day recruitment activity, campaigns, and administration.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience resourcing or recruiting within the driving, transport, or logistics sector, with an understanding of licence categories, compliance requirements, and what makes a good driving candidate.
  • Confidence building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with candidates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly around compliance, scheduling, and data accuracy.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence at all levels.
  • A proactive, resilient mindset, comfortable working to targets in a busy desk environment.

How you'll benefit

  • A bonus structure that rewards your performance.
  • Access to premium recruitment tools, including industry-leading job boards.
  • Full back-office and marketing support, so you can focus on what you do best.
  • Comprehensive, ongoing training and development from our award-winning Talent Development team.
  • Option to buy or sell holidays via salary sacrifice.
  • Quarterly and Annual HighFlyers events, plus our annual European getaway for top performers.
  • EV car benefit scheme and cycle to work scheme.
  • Retail, gym, and lifestyle discounts, plus financial wellbeing support through Tastecard.
