Are you a skilled Joiner looking for steady, high-quality work right on your doorstep in Tyneside? Search Consultancy is recruiting an experienced Joiner for an ongoing project based in Gateshead. This role is focused on high-spec internal finishing and 2nd fix carpentry across a busy local site.

If you hold a valid CSCS card, have a full kit of 2nd fix tools, and want a consistent £23.00/hr CIS rate with a dependable main contractor, we want to hear from you.

Your Role & Responsibilities

  • 2nd Fix Internal Joinery: Hanging internal door sets, fitting linings, handles, hinges, latches, and architectural ironmongery.
  • Detailed Trim Work: Measuring, cutting, and fitting skirtings, architraves, window boards, and cover trims with tight, clean mitres.
  • Kitchen & Cabinetry Fit-Out: Assembling and installing units, worktops, and bath panels to high visual standards where required.
  • Drawing Compliance: Reading site layouts and architectural drawings to maintain accurate positioning and level finishes across all rooms.
  • Material Care & Housekeeping: Handling pre-finished timber and composite materials carefully to prevent damage and keeping work areas safe and tidy.

What We're Looking For

  • CSCS Card: A valid Blue (Skilled Worker) or Gold (Advanced Craft / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Joinery) CSCS card is strictly mandatory.
  • Experience: Proven track record in 2nd fix internal joinery on commercial or residential sites.
  • Tools & Equipment: Complete kit of professional 110V or cordless power tools (mitre saw, plunge/track saw, impact driver, nail guns, levels) and standard 5-point PPE.
  • Transport: Reliable transport to get to site in Gateshead daily.
  • Right to Work: Valid proof of right to work in the UK.
