About the Role
Search Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced TIG Welders on behalf of a leading manufacturing company based in Gainsborough. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer offering long-term, ongoing work on a permanent afternoon shift across a four-day working week.
As a TIG Welder, you'll be responsible for welding stainless steel and mild steel exhaust system components to a high standard, ensuring all work meets customer specifications while maintaining quality and health & safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- TIG welding stainless steel and mild steel components
- Reading and working from engineering drawings
- Producing high-quality welds to specification
- Using jigs, fixtures and measuring equipment
- Carrying out quality checks and completing production documentation
- Maintaining excellent housekeeping standards
- Working safely in line with Health & Safety procedures
- Working independently and as part of a team to meet production targets
Requirements
- Previous TIG welding experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience welding stainless steel
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable with a positive attitude
- Able to work to quality standards and production targets
Desirable
- Welding NVQ Level 1, 2 or 3 (or equivalent)
- Experience using Vernier callipers and measuring equipment
- Knowledge of 5S or continuous improvement practices
