About the Role
We are looking for compassionate, committed, and resilient Residential Support Workers to join our team in a 3-bed children's home supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people by providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive home environment. You will work closely with the young people to help them develop life skills, build confidence, achieve positive outcomes, and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in a residential setting.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with young people, acting as a positive role model.
- Support young people in line with their individual care plans, risk assessments, and placement plans.
- Promote emotional well-being, independence, and personal development.
- Encourage participation in education, training, hobbies, and community activities.
- Support young people to attend appointments, school, and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records, daily logs, incident reports, and other documentation.
- Assist with household tasks to ensure the home remains safe, clean, and welcoming.
- Administer medication where trained and authorised to do so.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, social workers, and external professionals.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of all young people at all times.
- Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-in duties.

- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare, Children and Young People's Workforce, Health & Social Care, or equivalent.
- Knowledge and understanding of Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
