The Role: We are looking for an experienced Fitter's Mate to join a major energy infrastructure project at Dinorwig. The successful candidate will work as part of a site team supporting mechanical and electrical installation activities, including cable pulling. You will report to the Chargehand or Site Supervisor and play an important role in supporting the wider installation team. Previous substation experience and a valid NG Person ticket are required for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support mechanical and electrical installation activities as directed by the Chargehand or Site Supervisor.
  • Assist with cable pulling and general installation activities.
  • Work in accordance with site QEHS procedures and site rules.
  • Complete allocated task cards within the required timescales.
  • Work to the standards and timescales set by the Work Party Leader.
  • Identify and highlight any potential issues or delays in advance.
  • Follow all Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality requirements.
  • Assist with project documentation where required.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • Carry out other duties within your competence as directed by site management.

Requirements:

  • Ideally at least 1 year's experience working as part of a team on an Electricity Supply Industry construction site or similar environment.
  • Experience working on power generation, oil & gas, utilities or general construction projects would be beneficial.
  • Previous experience working within a substation environment.
  • Experience assisting with mechanical and electrical installation activities.
  • Good understanding of site Health & Safety requirements.
  • Reliable, proactive and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Qualifications:

  • CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport.
  • NG Person is essential.
  • Manual Handling.

Pay Rates - LTD / Umbrella:

  • First 37 hours: £28.00 per hour
  • After 37 hours / first 4 hours Saturday: £29.50 per hour
  • After 4 hours Saturday / Sunday / Bank Holiday: £31.89 per hour

Additional Information: One position available. 50 hours per week. 10-hour working days. Start ASAP. Outside IR35 for LTD. Weekly timesheets. Site: Dinorwig, LL55 4TY.
