- £30.87/hour - After 37 Hours / First 4 Hours Saturday

- £21.54/hour - First 37 Hours
- £22.84/hour - After 37 Hours / First 4 Hours Saturday

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter for a long-term contract opportunity with our client on the Moray West / Blackhillock project. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically qualified fitter with substation, power generation, oil & gas, or heavy industrial installation experience to join a major energy infrastructure project.
Please note: A Telehandler ticket is essential for this role.
The Role: You will be working as part of the client's site team, supporting mechanical installation activities on a major substation project. Reporting directly to the Site Supervisor / Chargehand, you will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical installation activities as directed by site management
- Work in line with all client procedures and site safety requirements
- Support site supervisors and chargehands with daily installation activities
- Proactively complete allocated task cards within required project timescales
- Highlight any potential delays or issues in advance
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Assist with project documentation where required
- Ensure accurate submission of timesheets and associated paperwork
Requirements:
Essential:
- Apprentice trained OR NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in a relevant mechanical discipline
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience working on electricity supply industry construction sites or similar environments
- National Grid Person
- Valid Telehandler ticket - NPORS or CPCS
- Experience within:
- HV substations
- Power generation
- Oil & Gas
- Heavy industrial construction
- CSCS Card or CCNSG Safety Passport
- Manual Handling
- Working at Height
- Fire Safety Awareness
