Search are delighted to support the recruitment of a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our client’s Finance team based near Edinburgh with hybrid working. In this role you will manage the financial planning and forecasting process to improve business performance and influence strategic decision making through liaison with senior leadership and provision of key financial insights.

Base pay range Salary: circa £80k – £90k+, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage forecasting cycles and ensure alignment with wider business strategy.
  • Deliver financial reports and conduct variance analysis against budget & forecast to improve business performance.
  • Build and refine financial models to assess performance, scenario planning and long-term projections.
  • Work with leadership teams to deliver financial insights and enhance departmental and company performance.
  • Responsible for monthly management packs timely delivery.
  • Manage and support finance team towards strong performance in key business areas.
  • Deliver process improvement and implement best practice to enhance accuracy and efficiency of reporting and systems.

Skills and Experience

  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience.
  • Demonstrable experience in FP&A, corporate finance or similar function.
  • Leadership and management experience.
  • Advanced proficiency in financial modelling and analytics using Excel.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable business partnering ability.
  • Strong problem‑solving ability and analytical mindset.
  • Comfortable liaising with senior leadership.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
