Search are supporting the recruitment of a Finance Officer to join our client's Fife office on a 5 month temporary basis with hybrid working. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in supporting financial operations across the organisation. You'll assist with budgeting, reporting, ledger management and provide financial guidance to non-financial managers. You'll also oversee one Finance Assistant and contribute to policy development and team leadership. If you're ready to take on a varied role with real impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Pay Rate: Circa £18 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and financial monitoring reports
- Produce draft accounts and support financial vetting of reports
- Manage and control the financial ledger system, ensuring accurate income and expenditure recording
- Provide financial advice to non-financial budget holders
- Produce statistical and financial returns as required
- Guide and support the Finance Assistant, ensuring compliance with financial policies
- Support the development of financial procedures and internal controls
Skills and experience you'll ideally have:
- Experience working in an accounting environment
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Positive attitude and strong communication skills
- HNC in Accountancy or equivalent
- Experience with accounting systems
