The Role
As a Care Home Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting residents' health, wellbeing, and enjoyment of daily life through excellent food.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and cooking balanced, high-quality meals tailored to residents' dietary needs and preferences
- Catering for a range of levelled and texture-modified diets in line with IDDSI guidelines
- Maintaining excellent standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness
- Managing kitchen stock, ordering, and accurate record keeping
- Working closely with care staff to ensure residents receive the best possible dining experience
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience as a chef within a care home or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with levelled diets (IDDSI)
- A valid PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) certificate - essential
- Food Hygiene and relevant catering qualifications (e.g. Level 2 or 3 Food Safety)
- A reliable, compassionate approach with a genuine commitment to excellent care
