We are currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse / Stores Operator to join a busy warehouse team within a fast-paced manufacturing environment based in East Kilbride. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and motivated individual with previous warehouse, stores or manufacturing experience looking to secure a permanent position with a well-established business.
The Role
Working as part of the Warehouse and Stores team, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials throughout the site. You will be responsible for receiving, storing and issuing stock, maintaining accurate inventory records, supporting production with materials, and preparing finished goods for dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving goods into the warehouse and checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
- Booking stock in and out using the warehouse management or ERP system, ensuring inventory records remain accurate.
- Storing raw materials, components and finished goods in the correct warehouse locations.
- Supplying production areas with materials to meet manufacturing schedules.
- Receiving finished goods from production and transferring them into warehouse storage.
- Carrying out stock counts, cycle counts and assisting with inventory accuracy and stock reconciliation.
- Picking, packing and preparing customer orders and finished goods for dispatch.
- Labelling, wrapping and palletising goods ready for shipment.
- Completing manual handling duties safely and efficiently.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse and stores areas.
- Following all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
- Supporting general warehouse and stores activities as required.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience working within a warehouse, stores, logistics or manufacturing environment.
- Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP systems for stock control.
- Good understanding of stock control processes and inventory management.
- Strong attention to detail with accurate record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A positive, reliable and proactive approach to work.
- Physically fit and comfortable carrying out manual handling duties.
