We are working with a well-established and highly respected civil engineering and infrastructure contractor to assist them in hiring a Contracts Manager for their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and civil engineering projects throughout Central Scotland.
As a Contracts Manager, you will oversee multiple projects simultaneously, providing operational leadership while ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
- As the Contracts Manager your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing the successful delivery of multiple civil engineering and infrastructure projects across Central Scotland.
- Leading and supporting Project Managers, Site Agents, and site teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Monitoring commercial performance, project programmes, and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and key stakeholders.
- Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards across all projects.
- Identifying business opportunities, managing project risks, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the business.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager, or Project Manager within the civil engineering or infrastructure sector.
- A strong track record of successfully managing multiple concurrent projects and operational teams.
- Excellent commercial awareness with a sound understanding of NEC contracts and project financial management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills with the ability to build lasting client relationships.
- A relevant qualification in Civil Engineering or Construction Management, together with SMSTS and CSCS certification.
Experience delivering highways, infrastructure, public realm, or utilities projects would be highly advantageous.
