About the Role
This is a key role within Pet Blood Bank UK, the Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the full finance function and working closely with the Managing Director to ensure strong financial governance, compliance, and accuracy. It is a hands on position suited to an experienced Finance Manager with proven experience managing multi disciplinary and remote teams, who enjoys ownership, structure, and contributing to a purpose‑driven organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the full finance function with one direct finance report
- Provide line management and leadership to multidisciplinary teams including remote team members.
- Deliver management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
- Ensure charity governance and regulatory compliance
- Maintain robust financial controls, audit preparedness, risk management frameworks, producing monthly and quarterly reports
- Oversee monthly payroll for approximately 120 employees
- Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across operations and customer services
- Attend meetings at the Loughborough office, fostering positive relationships with colleagues along the way
What We’re Looking For
- A finance qualification or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years in a financial role)
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership position and line management and leadership across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Paired with the ability to translate financial data into clear insight to support strategic decisions
- You should be comfortable with regular travel, which will include occasional overnight stays
- An understanding of charity accounting, governance, and regulatory requirements would be advantageous
- Candidates from other industries will be considered where skills are transferable
