Die Cut Operator (Pharma/FMCG Packaging) £32,000 - £34,000 DOE Ellesmere Port Permanent 4 Day Working Week Our client is a specialist in the pharmaceutical packaging industry and are now looking for TWO experienced Die-Cut Operators to join their busy production team. This is a full time, permanent position working 4 days per week on the double day shift (5am - 2pm / 2pm - 11pm) Some flexibility may be required as/when overtime is available. Your Responsibilities * Machine Setup: Prepare and adjust dies, plates, and press settings according to job orders. * Quality Control: Inspect finished items for correct dimensions, clean cuts, and proper scoring or creasing. * Operation: Run production runs at safe and efficient speeds while monitoring output. * Troubleshooting: Fix minor machine errors, jams, or cutting issues during a shift. * Maintenance: Perform basic upkeep like oiling parts and storing dies safely after use. Your Requirements and Skills * Math Skills: Ability to read tape measures and use basic math for measurements and counts. * Physical Strength: Ability to lift heavy die boards and stand or bend for long shifts. * Mechanical Know-How: Skill in using tools like calipers and rulers to check product accuracy. Salary and Benefits The salary for this role is up to £34,000 and is dependent on experience. Benefits include 25 days annual leave, private healthcare and competitive pension contribution.
