About the role
You will play a key role in the launch of a brand-new Scottish depot for a global logistics organisation. As an experienced Transport Planner, you'll have a real opportunity to influence processes from the start, helping to shape how the depot operates while ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective transport planning. What you'll be doing
- Planning and scheduling transport operations to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries
- Optimising routes and loads to maximise efficiency and minimise costs
- Coordinating with drivers, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth daily operations
- Monitoring driver hours and ensuring compliance with transport legislation
- Responding to operational issues and resolving problems quickly and effectively
- Supporting the setup and development of transport processes in a new depot environment
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner (essential)
- Strong knowledge of UK transport regulations and driver hours
- Ability to plan efficiently in a high-volume, time-critical environment
