Are you an experienced Housing Officer looking to join an organisation where you can genuinely make a difference?

We're recruiting on behalf of a long-established charitable housing provider that supports adults with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions across supported living accommodation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, supportive team managing a local portfolio of around 40-45 properties across the Croydon area.

Unlike many Housing Officer roles, you'll work alongside dedicated care teams, allowing you to focus on delivering an excellent housing management service while still making a real difference to people's lives.

Working within a close-knit team, you'll play an important role in ensuring residents are able to live safely and independently whilst maintaining high standards across the housing portfolio.

  • What You Will Be Doing
  • Managing a portfolio of approximately 40-45 supported housing properties across the Croydon area.
  • Building positive relationships with tenants and supporting them with all housing-related matters.
  • Undertaking tenancy management, estate inspections and property visits.
  • Managing housing benefit and rent-related queries.
  • Ensuring properties remain compliant with relevant housing legislation and internal standards.
  • Identifying maintenance issues and working closely with internal teams and contractors.
  • Carrying out routine health and safety inspections across the property portfolio.
  • Working collaboratively with on-site care teams to ensure residents receive the appropriate support.
  • Maintaining accurate records and updating internal housing systems.
  • What You Will Need
  • Previous experience working as a Housing Officer or within a similar housing management role.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive and organised approach to managing your own workload.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
