Esland is looking for an experienced and dedicated Registered Children's Home Manager to lead one of our high-quality Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) children's homes. Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of a registered children's home.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and Quality Standards.
  • Provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to the staff team.
  • Promote positive outcomes for children and young people through high-quality care planning and delivery.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, families, professionals, and external agencies.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding and ensure the welfare of every child is paramount.
  • Recruit, develop, supervise, and motivate staff to deliver exceptional care.
  • Manage budgets and resources effectively while maintaining quality standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement and prepare the home for Ofsted inspections.

About You

Essential Requirements

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a role relevant to residential childcare.
  • Previous experience managing or leading a children's residential home.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, Children's Homes Regulations, and Ofsted requirements.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to build positive and productive working relationships.
  • Passion for promoting independence, life skills, and positive outcomes for young people.
