We are recruiting a Payroll Assistant on behalf of our client to support the production of the March payroll and year-end payroll processes. An immediate start is preferred, allowing the successful candidate to shadow the current Payroll Manager before handover. This is a temp role until the end of March. 37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours).

The Role

  • Running a monthly payroll for approximately 250 employees using Sage Payroll.
  • Supporting a TUPE transfer and year-end reporting.
  • Taking ownership of the March monthly payroll.
  • Processing payroll using Sage Payroll.
  • Managing payroll timelines (pay date: 25th of each month; bank submission mid-month).
  • Running year-end payroll reports.
  • Supporting the payroll transfer, including transferring payroll data accurately.
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll deadlines are met.

About You

  • Previous experience running payroll independently.
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll.
  • Comfortable managing deadlines and working with confidential data.
  • Experience with TUPE transfers and year-end payroll processes is highly desirable.
  • Able to start at short notice.
