We are recruiting a Payroll Assistant on behalf of our client to support the production of the March payroll and year-end payroll processes. An immediate start is preferred, allowing the successful candidate to shadow the current Payroll Manager before handover. This is a temp role until the end of March. 37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours).
The Role
- Running a monthly payroll for approximately 250 employees using Sage Payroll.
- Supporting a TUPE transfer and year-end reporting.
- Taking ownership of the March monthly payroll.
- Processing payroll using Sage Payroll.
- Managing payroll timelines (pay date: 25th of each month; bank submission mid-month).
- Running year-end payroll reports.
- Supporting the payroll transfer, including transferring payroll data accurately.
- Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll deadlines are met.
About You
- Previous experience running payroll independently.
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll.
- Comfortable managing deadlines and working with confidential data.
- Experience with TUPE transfers and year-end payroll processes is highly desirable.
- Able to start at short notice.
