Search Consultancy are looking for an experienced Civils Foreman for an immediate start in Haydock (St Helens), Merseyside. Civils Commercial project - sheds 9-10 hours per day, 6 month duration of works. Free parking on site.
Duties will include:
- Assign daily work to gangs, manage subcontractors, maintain productivity on site, conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks), ensure proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and enforce health and safety regulations.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan, schedule, and execute work phases.
- Coordinate delivery, storage, and usage of materials and tools.
- Inspect work in progress to ensure it meets quality standards, specifications, and building codes - lots of paving and kerb quality to be inspected and signed off.
- Communicate daily progress, delays, and issues to project managers or engineers.
- Daily dealings with members of the public and local business owners.
- All associated tasks as required.
Candidates will require:
- A valid Black CSCS card
- A valid SSSTS or SMSTS certificate
- A valid First Aid at Work certificate (1 or 3 day)
- A valid Temporary Works Supervisor or Coordinator certificate is highly advantageous
- Own PPE
- Own hand tools (preferred but not essential)
- The relative public realm site project experience
- Checkable references
This position is for up to 6 months.
