We’re partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Principal Fire Consultant to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across complex and high-profile projects. This is a senior, influential role where you’ll provide technical leadership, shape fire safety strategy, and guide best practice across a diverse portfolio. You’ll be seen as a trusted authority, both internally and with clients.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the go-to SME for fire engineering and fire safety compliance
- Lead and deliver complex fire strategies, risk assessments, and technical reports
- Provide expert advice across design, construction, and operational phases
- Influence senior stakeholders and support key decision-making
- Review and sign off on technical deliverables and methodologies
- Mentor and develop junior consultants within the team
- Stay at the forefront of fire safety regulations, standards, and innovations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fire Consultant operating at Principal level (or ready to step up)
- Strong expertise in fire engineering, fire risk assessments, and regulatory compliance
- Demonstrated ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert and technical authority
- Experience working on complex or large-scale projects
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, or a related discipline
- Chartered status (or working towards) is highly desirable
