We’re partnering with a leading organisation seeking a Principal Fire Consultant to act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) across complex and high-profile projects. This is a senior, influential role where you’ll provide technical leadership, shape fire safety strategy, and guide best practice across a diverse portfolio. You’ll be seen as a trusted authority, both internally and with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the go-to SME for fire engineering and fire safety compliance
  • Lead and deliver complex fire strategies, risk assessments, and technical reports
  • Provide expert advice across design, construction, and operational phases
  • Influence senior stakeholders and support key decision-making
  • Review and sign off on technical deliverables and methodologies
  • Mentor and develop junior consultants within the team
  • Stay at the forefront of fire safety regulations, standards, and innovations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Fire Consultant operating at Principal level (or ready to step up)
  • Strong expertise in fire engineering, fire risk assessments, and regulatory compliance
  • Demonstrated ability to act as a Subject Matter Expert and technical authority
  • Experience working on complex or large-scale projects
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Relevant qualifications in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety, or a related discipline
  • Chartered status (or working towards) is highly desirable
