Assistant Warehouse Manager Lead the day-to-day operation of a busy warehouse, ensuring orders are picked, packed and dispatched accurately to customers.

You'll take a hands-on approach to leading the team, maintaining stock accuracy and keeping the warehouse clean, organised and safe.

The role is ideal if you have warehouse supervisory experience and want to step up your responsibility.

Role details Salary from £32,000 to £37,000 per year, depending on experience. 23 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with a company pension.

The role As Assistant Warehouse Manager you'll support the Warehouse Manager with the smooth running of the warehouse operation.

The role exists to provide day-to-day leadership on the floor, ensuring customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time.

You'll also help maintain BRCGS Packaging Materials Standard compliance across stock control, traceability and housekeeping.

What you'll be doing Supporting the Warehouse Manager with the daily operation of the warehouse.

Leading, motivating and developing the warehouse team.

Planning daily workloads to ensure customer deadlines are met.

Receiving, storing and dispatching stock accurately while maintaining stock accuracy through regular checks and investigations.

Working closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations.

Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse, supporting audits and reporting any quality or compliance issues.

What we're looking for Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience.

Strong organisational and communication skills.

Experience leading and motivating a team.

Good IT skills and strong attention to detail.

A proactive approach with a commitment to quality and safety.

Counterbalance and Flexi forklift licences (desirable).

Experience in a packaging, manufacturing or logistics environment (desirable).

Experience working within a BRCGS certificated business (desirable).
