About the Role
We are seeking a driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales across Scotland and the North East. You will develop relationships with Retailers, Wholesalers and Distributors while growing new and existing accounts in a technical, product led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive regional growth (60% new business / 40% existing accounts).
- Build strong partnerships with Retailers, Wholesalers and Distributors.
- Understand customer needs and deliver against targets.
- Present solutions, negotiate terms and resolve issues proactively.
- Deliver product training and represent the business at trade events.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and report key performance metrics.
- Communicate customer insights to internal teams.
Requirements
- Based in or near Scotland or North East England.
- 5+ years' field sales experience in technical or product based sectors.
- Proven new business development background.
- Strong understanding of POS, merchandising and retail sales cycles.
- 5+ years selling products for resale to Retailers/Wholesalers/Distributors.
- Electrical wholesale experience essential.
- Specification selling experience desirable.
