We're working with a well-established and fast-growing company within the construction and groundworks sector, known for delivering high levels of service and fast, reliable logistics support to customers nationwide. With a strong reputation in the market, they operate a busy, fast-paced transport function supporting multiple depots and customers.
The Role
This is a hands-on, fast-moving role where you'll play a key part in ensuring deliveries and collections run smoothly day-to-day. Supporting the Transport Manager, you'll coordinate routes, liaise with drivers and depots, and act as a central point of contact for delivery queries and problem resolution.
You'll be joining a collaborative team environment where no two days are the same, and where your organisational skills and ability to think on your feet will make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and coordinating daily delivery routes across multiple depots
- Acting as the main point of contact for drivers, handling queries and resolving issues
- Managing delivery schedules and responding to ETA queries from customers
- Liaising with depot managers, customer service and internal teams
- Monitoring orders and ensuring accurate allocation to depots
- Handling failed or delayed deliveries and re-planning where needed
- Supporting agency driver administration, including timesheets and purchase orders
- Using routing and planning systems to optimise delivery efficiency
About You
We're looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, operational environment and enjoys problem-solving.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience in transport, logistics, planning, or coordination (preferred but not essential)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence communicating with drivers, customers, and internal teams
- The ability to manage multiple priorities at once
- Good IT skills (Excel, Outlook, and general systems)
- A proactive, team-focused attitude
