I'm recruiting on behalf of my client, a growing and well-established accountancy practice based in Glasgow city centre. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Senior to join their friendly and collaborative team.

Role Overview:

As an Accounts Senior, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services. You'll also supervise junior staff, helping to mentor and guide their development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships
  • Preparation of management accounts and financial reporting packs
  • Acting as a key point of contact for your own client portfolio
  • Reviewing and providing feedback on work prepared by junior colleagues
  • Assisting Managers and Partners with ad hoc projects and technical queries
  • Ensuring all deadlines are met with accuracy and efficiency

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Accountant with ideally 2+ years' post-qualified experience in UK practice
  • Strong technical skills in accounts preparation, management reporting, and tax
  • Proven ability to manage a client portfolio independently
  • A client-focused approach with strong attention to detail
  • Commercial awareness with the initiative to identify and escalate opportunities or issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enjoyment in mentoring and developing junior team members
