We are currently recruiting for 3 experienced Groundworkers to support ongoing works on National Grid infrastructure projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy site team working on major energy and transmission projects, with further opportunities available for the right candidates.
Essential Requirements:
- National Grid Persons HSG47 CAT1 & CAT2 (2-Day Course)
- Previous experience working on utility, civils, substation, or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of safe excavation and underground service avoidance procedures
Duties Will Include:
- Using CAT & Genny equipment to locate and mark underground services
- Installing ducts and ducting systems
- Installing draw pits and rodding eyes
- Carrying out concrete remedial works
- Laying and levelling chippings
- Placing and levelling Type 3 stone
- Supporting general civils and groundworks activities as required
- Working safely in accordance with site procedures and National Grid standards
Desirable Competencies (Not Essential):
- Dumper Roller Banksman / Vehicle Marshal
- Slinger Signaller
- Telehandler
- 360 Excavator
- Confined Space
- Any additional National Grid or utility sector certifications
