Are you Level 3 qualified in Residential Childcare and ready for a new challenge? We are recruiting for a Team Leader to join a small children’s residential home in Solihull, supporting up to three children/young people with Learning Disabilities. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career within a supportive, community-based home.
The Role
As Team Leader, you will work closely with the management team to ensure high standards of care and lead shifts effectively. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the management team to maintain high-quality care standards
- Acting as daily shift lead and overseeing handovers
- Planning and organising staff duties during shifts
- Supervising and supporting staff, including contributing to appraisals
- Providing on-call support on a rota basis
- Organising rotas and ensuring appropriate staff deployment
- Supporting young people with daily routines, activities and independence
- Promoting participation in social, leisure, educational and life skills activities
- Supporting personal care needs, including intimate care where required
- Administering medication and supporting medical appointments
- Promoting wellbeing, safeguarding and positive outcomes

Essential Requirements
- Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) – Essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in Residential Childcare – Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
- Excellent communication skills
