We are recruiting a Senior Residential Care Practitioner to join a children’s residential service supporting young people with Learning Disabilities (LD). This role is ideal for someone with experience in children’s residential care who is confident leading shifts and supporting both young people and staff.

The role includes:

  • Supporting young people with day-to-day care in line with their individual care plans
  • Leading shifts and offering guidance to Residential Support Workers
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
  • Ensuring safeguarding procedures, policies and standards are followed
  • Working closely with other professionals to support positive outcomes for young people

What we offer:

  • £14.65 per hour
  • £70 per sleep-in
  • 38 hours per week, plus sleep-in shifts
  • Average annual salary of £33,000–£37,000 with 2 sleep-ins per week
  • Shift work between 9:30am and 11:00pm
  • Working across Monday to Sunday, typically 1 shift on followed by 2 days off

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or Level 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare (minimum)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Previous experience in children’s residential care
  • Confidence leading shifts and supporting staff
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and children’s needs
