Im currently working with a care provider to find an experienced Operations & Business Support Lead to support their senior leadership team and help keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. This is a really hands-on role where youll be involved in a bit of everything from referrals and compliance to HR support and property oversight. It would suit someone who enjoys being organised, keeping on top of detail, and making sure things are done properly.
Youll be supporting the Director of Services & Operations, helping to make sure systems, processes, and compliance are all in place and working as they should. The organisation provides supported accommodation and residential services for looked-after children and care leavers across several regions. While the role is based in the Stratford office, youll also visit services from time to time.
What youll be doing:
- Referrals & client contact
- Acting as the first point of contact for new referrals
- Managing referrals through to placement
- Keeping records and reports up to date
- Building good relationships with local authorities and other stakeholders
- Keeping track of property compliance and health & safety requirements
- Making sure all documentation is up to date and ready for audits
- Managing utilities, contracts, and general property records
- Overseeing office supplies, equipment, and systems
- Carrying out audits across files, properties, and processes
- Making sure everything meets regulatory standards
- Highlighting any gaps and helping put improvements in place
- Supporting recruitment and workforce planning
- Making sure safer recruitment processes are followed
- Keeping HR records accurate and up to date
- Assisting with payroll information each month
About you:
- Youve worked in a similar operations, compliance, or business support role (ideally in care but not essential)
- You understand regulatory requirements (Ofsted knowledge would be a big plus)
- Youre organised, thorough, and good at managing multiple tasks
- Youre confident communicating with different people and teams
- Youre proactive and comfortable working independently
