Our client seeks an Operational Compliance Manager to join their team. You will manage the risk and compliance functions, ensuring that the company stays in line with internal policies, external regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise the company on AML and CFT regulation impacts and necessary actions; ensure Due Diligence procedures comply with regulations.
- Establish and maintain good relationships with regulators and authorities.
- Lead and manage regulatory audits and compliance reviews; assist in developing and maintaining audit checklists related to regulatory compliance.
- Review internal documentation and external communications.
- Ensure company policies and procedures are documented, reviewed, and updated regularly.
- Investigate major complaints to regulators/authorities, ensuring fair and timely resolutions.
- Assist in preparing reports and documentation for monthly board meetings, including drafting minutes and resolutions.
- Provide accurate analysis and management information.
- Support the development of a regulatory training strategy to foster a compliance-aware culture.
- Manage daily operations of a team of AML and RG analysts.
- Fulfill DMLRO responsibilities for the group.
- Support deputising for the Group Head of Compliance & Risk as needed.
Key Skills & Experience
- Advanced operational knowledge of AML/CFT regulations in the Isle of Man and/or the UK.
- Experience in the online gambling industry is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Isle of Man and UK Gambling Commission regulations and codes of practice.
- Willingness and/or ongoing training to support DMLRO responsibilities.
- Leadership experience managing a team.
- Experience with KYC verification, international markets, and cross-border transactions.
- Understanding of risk management, fraud policies, and operational processes.
- Strong report writing and communication skills, capable of interacting at senior levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Ability to interpret management information and identify trends.
- Ability to deliver accurate information within deadlines.
- Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
