Our client seeks a Temporary Retail Sales Consultant to join their team and deliver an efficient and professional service to customers seeking information, purchasing assistance, and after-sales support for a full range of products and services.

This is a part time role for 30 hours a week and will be a temporary contract for approximately 4 months.

You may be required to work selected Thursday evenings and Sunday day shifts during the Christmas trading period (1 November to 31 December).

Key Responsibilities

  • Present an efficient and professional sales service for all customers.
  • Always greet customers with a smile.
  • Provide customers with honest and clear information.
  • Clearly provide all the information a customer needs to make informed decision relating to their needs.
  • Make sure all customers leave with a complete and working service.
  • Demonstrate and sell products and services.
  • Attend daily staff briefings before opening.
  • Fully competent in the use of the computerised systems and other applications relevant to the sales process after training.
  • Provide on-going support for all products and services available, by means of face to face, email, telephone contact, and strive to resolve all customer queries/complaints.
  • Assist if required, in training of new members of the Retail team.
  • Attend or partake in any training that may be required.
  • Be aware of the commercial requirements of the company and the retail department in particular.
  • Work to meet personal and group sales targets and process all orders within targets set by the Company.

Key Skills and Experience

  • Appreciation of the importance of customer service.
  • Ability to deal with difficult customers.
  • Enthusiasm for new technology.
  • Ability to deal with and communicate effectively with customers and staff at all levels.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • An understanding of modern retail technology would be desirable.
