Search Recruitment is excited to partner with Contour Roofing to secure an experienced, hands-on Commercial Roofing Team Leader / Supervisor.

The Role
As Team Leader, you'll be the driving force on site. You will lead, mentor, and organize crews across projects to ensure work is delivered safely efficiently and to an exceptional standard.
- Site Leadership & Mentorship: Directing daily operations, running pre-starts/toolbox talks, and coaching fixers and apprentices with a Quality first mindset.
- Programming & Execution: Managing work schedules, planning daily labour and resources, and keeping projects moving on time and on budget.
- Quality Assurance: Overseeing installations (profiled metal, wall cladding, insulated panels etc) to ensure strict adherence to project specs and manufacturer guidelines.
- Zero-Harm Safety: Leading site safety from the front—ensuring 100% compliance with height safety, WorkSafe NZ regulations, and hazard controls.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Acting as the primary site point of contact for Head Contractors, Project Managers, Subcontractors, and suppliers.
Your Profile
We are looking for a technically astute, trade-qualified professional who understands how site construction works and knows how to get the absolute best out of a crew.
- Technical Expertise: Proven background in commercial or high-end residential roofing and cladding. LBP (Licensed Building Practitioner) status is highly regarded or willingness to work towards this.
- Leadership Experience: Demonstrated track record supervising crews, maintaining high morale, and driving accountability.
- Safety First Mindset: Proactive attitude toward hazard management and absolute commitment to a zero-harm environment.
- Communication & Admin: Strong organization skills with the ability to liaise professionally with main contractors and internal PMs.
- Practical Requirements: Physically fit, confident working at heights, and holding a valid Driver's License.
