An established and highly respected family-owned engineering business specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of construction products is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of the health, safety and wellbeing agenda across the organisation.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to shape culture, influence decision-making at board level, and drive continuous improvement across both manufacturing and site operations. The Role

  • Lead and develop the company's Health & Safety strategy across manufacturing and installation activities.
  • Drive a positive, proactive safety culture throughout the business.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety legislation and industry standards.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to operational teams and senior management.
  • Manage audits, inspections, incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Develop policies, procedures, training programmes and performance metrics.
  • Maintain a visible presence across workshop, manufacturing and site-based operations.
  • Act as the focal point for all health, safety and wellbeing initiatives.

About You

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety leadership role within manufacturing, engineering, construction or a related sector.
  • Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety legislation.
  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Comfortable operating across both manufacturing and site environments.
  • A confident communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Passionate about building a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
