Search Press is a leading publisher of high-quality art and craft books, specializing in knitting, sewing, needlecraft, textiles, painting, pottery, and more for creators of all skill levels. With a lovely, friendly team of around 40 professionals, we publish up to 100 of our own titles annually while also distributing books for other publishers. Every stage of the publishing process, from concept to warehouse delivery, is handled entirely in-house. Supported by a passionate and dedicated team across departments including sales, marketing, production, and design, Search Press consistently delivers an impressive range of titles. The company also operates offices in Australia and the USA.

The Sales Executive – UK & Ireland is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities while maintaining and expanding relationships with existing customers (including Shopping Channels) across the UK and Ireland. The role is fast-paced and requires a commercially astute, organised, professional with strong communication skills, financial acumen and a solid understanding of the Trade sales processes.

The Sales Executive will represent the company’s products and services, manage the full sales cycle, and contribute to the achievement of team sales objectives in line with the company’s strategic goals. This role offers an excellent opportunity for career progression, for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new sales opportunities across the UK and Ireland
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial title presentation through to negotiation and sale
  • Achieve and exceed Sales Targets
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations
  • Maintain excellent relationships with existing Customers, Buyers and the internal Search Press team
  • Monitoring of competitor activity in the market
Key Skills we’re looking for
  • A self-starter who is able to show initiative and work independently whilst communicating information to the wider business and work closely with the Marketing team
  • Customer focus: from large wholesalers to independent retailers, our customers are at the heart of what we do
  • Strong Sales reporting skills & understanding of sales data
