The Opportunity:

I’m currently partnering with a highly respected, established firm of Chartered Surveyors who have been a dominant force in the London property market for over four decades. They are looking for a technically astute Valuation Surveyor and Registered Valuer to join their Survey and Professional Services team. This isn’t just about ticking boxes; it’s about delivering high-quality, defensible work for a mix of blue-chip UK lenders and private clients.

Why You’ll Be Interested:

If you are tired of being treated like a number and are looking for a role that respects your professional judgement, this is it. This is a home-based position offering genuine autonomy. You won’t be bogged down by admin—they provide centralised diary coordination and inspection scheduling, allowing you to focus purely on what you do best: surveying. The culture here is technically focused and collaborative. Workloads are managed intelligently to prioritise quality and defensibility over sheer volume, ensuring you can produce work you’re proud of while protecting your work-life balance.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing a diverse and interesting workload across your region, stepping into people’s homes and properties to provide expert advice.
  • Conducting Lender Valuations for major UK panels.
  • Undertaking Red Book Valuations for probate, taxation, and matrimonial purposes.
  • Delivering Level 2 and Level 3 Surveys (Homebuyer Reports and Building Surveys) for private clients.
  • Preparing accurate, robust, and compliant reports within agreed SLAs.
  • Building trusted relationships with lenders and private clients through clear communication and sound judgement.

Who I’m Looking For:

This role is perfect for a Surveyor who takes pride in their technical ability. You will thrive here if you:

  • Are a RICS Registered Valuer (essential).
  • Have strong experience in residential valuation for UK banks and building societies.
  • Possess solid knowledge of building pathology and RICS Red Book requirements.
  • Are self-motivated and disciplined enough to manage a diary independently.
  • Value being part of a supportive, technically strong team rather than a high-pressure sales environment.

The Package on Offer:

You will receive:

  • A competitive base salary commensurate with your experience.
  • A car allowance and performance-related commission.
  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, with hybrid and flexible working options.
  • Private medical insurance, life assurance, and enhanced family leave.
  • Fully funded professional development and structured CPD.
  • Pension scheme and employee assistance programme.

Next Steps:

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a firm that values quality, supports your professional growth, and gives you the autonomy to manage your own day. If you are a dedicated Surveyor looking for a stable yet progressive environment, I’d love to hear from you.
