The Role
We are looking to recruit experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering department with sound electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to improve production operating efficiencies. Main duties will include:
- Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
- Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
- Undertaking plant strip downs, rebuilds and component repairs.
- Assist with small project works as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with a programmable logic controller (PLC) system like Siemens, Allen Bradley.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.
Candidate requirements
- Time served apprentice to NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Excellent Health and Safety awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and comfortably manage changing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Hard working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
- Good communication skills and happy to work as part of a team or individually.
- Sound IT skills and a good standard of English and Maths.
Hours and Location
You will work 40 hours per week on a 12 hour continental shift pattern (0600-1800 and 1800-0600). 4 days on, 4 off, 4 days on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off, 4 nights on, 4 off.
Pay & Benefits
- Salary negotiable depending on experience.
