Search International are working with a respected and well-established manufacturing business who are looking for exceptional people to join their team and contribute to the future success of the business.
The Role: We are looking to recruit experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering department with sound electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to improve production operating efficiencies.
Main duties will include:
- Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
- Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
- Undertaking plant strip downs, rebuilds and component repairs.
- Assist with small project works as well as identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with a programmable logic controller (PLC) system like Siemens, Allen Bradley.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting. These diagnostics are performed to identify faults, malfunctions, or abnormalities to determine the root cause and implement appropriate repairs or maintenance procedures to return the line back to production.
- Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.
Candidate requirements:
- Time served apprentice to NVQ 3 in an engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Excellent Health and Safety awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and comfortably manage changing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Hard working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
