We are looking to recruit experienced multi-skilled Maintenance Engineers to support the engineering department with sound electrical, mechanical and maintenance engineering service to improve production operating efficiencies.
Main Duties
- Respond to breakdowns and repair and maintain equipment across all production lines and process areas.
- Responsible for PPM and maintaining correct records within appropriate timescales.
- Undertake plant stripdowns, rebuilds and component repairs.
- Assist with small project works and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Perform PLC troubleshooting or diagnostics, identifying or resolving issues with programmable logic controller (PLC) systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley.
- Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to identify faults, malfunctions or abnormalities and implement appropriate repairs or maintenance procedures to return the line to production.
- Develop knowledge of production processes and share with other engineers and operatives.
Candidate Requirements
- Time served apprentice to NVQ3 in an engineering discipline.
- At least 3 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Excellent health and safety awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment and manage changing priorities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Hard‑working, enthusiastic and eager to develop.
- Good communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team or independently.
- Sound IT skills and a good standard of English and Maths.
Hours and Location
You will work 40 hours per week on a 12‑hour continental shift pattern (0600‑1800 and 1800‑0600) with 4 days on, 4 days off in alternating pattern and night shifts similarly.
