We re looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented Solar PV System Designer to produce accurate, compliant and viable solar PV and battery storage designs for domestic and small commercial projects.
You ll work with customers to provide reliable proposals, resolve technical queries and help projects move smoothly from quote to install.
WHAT YOU LL DO Design solar PV and battery storage systems for domestic and small commercial properties using survey information, site data and customer requirements.
Log new enquiries and job details accurately within the company CRM system.
Produce layouts, string designs, inverter/battery configurations and proposed cable routes.
Assess roof suitability, orientation, shading, available space and expected system performance.
Engage with customers throughout the proposal process, clearly communicating product information and delivering an excellent standard of service.
Price jobs with precision in line with the company s Schedule of Rates.
Create equipment and parts lists to support procurement and installation.
Support quotations by providing technical input and system recommendations.
Ensure designs meet relevant standards, guidance and industry requirements (including MCS-aligned expectations where applicable).
