We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to support a major infrastructure programme within the EKFB supply chain. This role will focus on the audit, verification and review of subcontractor costs, providing independent commercial assurance and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements.The successful candidate will possess significant experience in rail infrastructure projects, strong commercial audit capabilities, and a thorough understanding of NEC contracts.ResponsibilitiesReview, audit and verify subcontractor costs, applications and supporting records.Assess the validity of cost submissions, compensation events and change-related claims.Provide robust commercial challenge and assurance across the supply chain.Ensure compliance with NEC contractual obligations and commercial governance procedures.Analyse cost data and identify commercial risks, discrepancies and opportunities for improvement.Produce detailed audit reports and recommendations for project stakeholders.Support dispute avoidance and resolution through evidence-based commercial assessments.Work collaboratively with project teams, contractors and stakeholders to maintain cost transparency and commercial integrity.Requirements Extensive experience operating as a Senior Commercial Manager, Commercial Manager or Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure projects.Proven track record in cost verification, commercial auditing and subcontractor cost review.Strong rail sector experience.Excellent knowledge and practical application of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts.Experience working within large and complex supply chains.Strong analytical, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.Ability to challenge commercial submissions in a constructive and professional manner.Experience working on HS2, EKFB or similar major infrastructure programmes.Professional qualification such as MRICS, MCICES or equivalent.Experience of target cost contracts and cost reimbursable mechanisms.Contract- 550 P/day inside IR35Perm - 80kSearch is an equal opportunities recruiter and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation or age.
