We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and detail-focused Payroll Administrator. This is a great opportunity to join a supportive team within a large, well-established organisation.
Hours: 22.5 per week, Monday to Friday (flexible working days)
Hybrid Working: Mix of home and office-based work
About the Role: You'll process weekly and monthly payrolls, making sure staff are paid accurately and on time. You'll also support wider payroll operations and deal with payroll queries.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-end payroll processing, including BACS payments
- Handle starters, leavers, salary changes and adjustments
- Manage payroll queries from staff, managers, and HR
- Process statutory payments (SSP, parental leave, etc.)
- Administer pensions and deductions (e.g. court orders)
- Run HMRC updates (RTI, tax codes, student loans)
- Produce payroll reports for internal use
- Ensure compliance with National Minimum Wage
- Support regular HR/payroll reviews
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years' payroll experience
- Strong numeracy and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (VLOOKUPs)
- Able to meet tight deadlines in a busy environment
- Good team player with initiative and self-motivation
