Gateman / Traffic Marshal to join a busy construction project in Morecambe, Lancashire, working for a Tier 1 contractor.
This is a great opportunity for someone with previous site experience who is happy to get involved with general labouring duties alongside managing site access and vehicle movements.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card.
- Previous experience in a Gateman, Traffic Marshal or general labouring role preferred.
- Good understanding of site health and safety procedures.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work safely around vehicles, plant and site operatives.
- Willingness to assist with general labouring and other site duties as required.
Responsibilities:
- Managing site access and egress for vehicles, deliveries and personnel.
- Directing and controlling vehicle and plant movements safely.
- Monitoring the site entrance and ensuring all visitors and operatives follow site procedures.
- Maintaining safe pedestrian routes and keeping access areas clear.
- Assisting with general labouring duties around site as required.
- Keeping the site entrance and surrounding working areas tidy and safe.
- Communicating with site management, delivery drivers and site operatives.
- Following site traffic management plans and all health and safety procedures.
