We're recruiting for a Business & IT Support Manager to join a respected organisation on an initial 3‑month temporary contract, with potential for extension. This is a varied and hands‑on role, perfect for someone who enjoys combining IT coordination, facilities oversight, supplier management, governance, and general business support within a dynamic environment.

The Role

You'll be the central point of contact for IT, facilities, environmental governance, and business support functions. Working closely with the CEO, Finance, and external providers, you'll ensure smooth operational delivery and maintain high standards across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Business & IT Support
    • Provide IT support across all departments and ensure staff have appropriate equipment.
    • Act as the primary contact for external IT support partners and manage contract reviews.
    • Ensure compliance with cyber security standards, including Cyber Essentials certification.
    • Manage renewal of software licences and digital certificates.
    • Advise on and maintain AV equipment for meeting rooms, ensuring seamless remote conferencing (including the AGM).
  • Operational & Administrative Support
    • Support the Finance team with banking, invoices, and purchase orders when required.
    • Act as first point of contact for data protection enquiries and Subject Access Requests.
    • Provide business support to the CEO across governance and operational matters.
  • Supplier & Contract Management
    • Oversee and negotiate contracts for key office services such as shredding, cleaning, HR services, maintenance, and lease agreements.
    • Manage company insurance policies, ensuring legal compliance and appropriate coverage.
    • Provide guidance on international insurance needs, including travel insurance.
  • Environmental, Health & Safety & Facilities
    • Lead environmental sustainability governance (ESG) and manage compliance with requirements.
    • Ensure Health & Safety standards are met and advise the CEO on emerging issues.
    • Act as the primary Fire Safety contact, ensuring maintenance of safety systems.
    • Ensure office spaces, meeting rooms, and technical facilities are secure and well maintained.
    • Implement and manage secure staff access systems, including automated attendance logging.
  • General Responsibilities
    • Uphold all company policies, including H&S, IT, security, email and antivirus, and equality standards.
    • Be flexible in carrying out additional reasonable tasks within the office environment.

    • Understanding of data protection legislation.
    • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements for small businesses.
