Overview
In this role you will lead audit and accounts work from planning through completion for a varied client base, reporting to Partners and senior management. You will support the team, coach junior staff, and contribute to growing the client base. You will work with a range of entities while keeping to budgets and deadlines, and stay current with technical developments across Audit, Accounts and Tax. This role offers progression in a forward‑thinking practice with a strong client focus.

Responsibilities
- Perform audit procedures from planning through fieldwork to completion
- Prepare and review accounts for Ltd Companies, Charities, LLPs, sole traders and partnerships
- Handle corporate and personal tax compliance
- Manage work within agreed budgets and deadlines
- Stay updated on technical developments across Audit, Accounts and Tax
- Provide technical advice and support to clients
- Coach and mentor junior team members
- Collaborate with Partners and Senior Management across the client portfolio
- Utilise accounting and audit software to deliver work efficiently and accurately
- Contribute to growth and development of the firm’s client base
Key requirements
- ACCA or ICAS or equivalent qualification desirable
- Prior audit department experience in a general practice
- Strong core audit and accounting skills
- Experience with a varied client portfolio
- Knowledge of corporate and personal tax compliance
- Strong IT skills (MS Word and Excel)
- Experience with Sage Line 50
- Experience with audit software
- Knowledge of IRIS advantageous
