Search Recruitment Group are supporting a well established manufacturing business in Pontefract to recruit a Part Qualified Cost Accountant.
The business continues to go from strength to strength, and they are looking for a highly motivated and driven Cost Accountant to join the team, ensuring their products are to the high standards their customers have come to expect.
Reporting to the Financial Controller you will take responsibility for preparing, developing, and analysing relevant Cost accounts, identifying root causes of any discrepancies and leading the end to end reporting process.
You will calculate the daily operational variances, and complete the cost reporting for various aspects of the business. You will liaise with payroll regarding the daily labour costs as appropriate. You will update system changes as required and ensure new products are set up correctly in order to measure all key direct costs. You will also liaise with commercial, planning, ops, technical & IT to ensure accuracy of reporting and identify areas for profit improvement. You will be responsible for stock reconciliation and ensure costs used in product costings and renewals are accurate. You will educate key personnel across the business as appropriate, creating a collaborative and multiskilled reconciliation process.
