Overview
As Site Engineer, you will lead setting out and surveying on clean water projects in Chester, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. You will work closely with the delivery team, subcontractors, and the client to maintain records and resolve technical queries. You will support planning, progress monitoring, and QA processes to meet project milestones. Responsibilities
- Setting out and surveying works to design drawings and specifications
- Ensure safety, efficiency, and quality of works
- Produce and maintain site records, as-built drawings, and quality documentation
- Coordinate with site management, subcontractors and client team
- Manage quality assurance processes, inspections and testing
- Monitor progress and report on project performance
- Support delivery team with technical queries and engineering solutions
- Assist with planning and programming to meet milestones
Key requirements
- Previous experience as Site Engineer within civil engineering, utilities, water, or infrastructure
- Experience on clean water schemes advantageous
- Strong setting out experience using GPS, total station, and surveying equipment
- Good understanding of quality assurance procedures and engineering standards
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- CSCS Card essential
- SSSTS
- HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
