Search are recruiting exclusively for a long-established, family-run business based near Garstang. This small, values-led company is seeking a reliable, detail-focused Bookkeeper to join the team on a part-time basis. You will be stepping into a standalone finance role with support from an experienced colleague who is planning for retirement, offering a long and structured handover for the right person.
The Role
- Bookkeeping using QuickBooks (essential)
- Bank reconciliations, supplier invoices, payments
- VAT returns and liaison with external accountants
- Payroll administrative duties
- Sales ledger duties
- Supporting wider admin and operations alongside the office manager
- Invoices received and uploaded to register, checked and details updated to Purchase Order Checker
- Cash-flow projections adjusting forecast as necessary
What Weβre Looking For
- Experience in a similar bookkeeping or accounts role
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (desirable)
- Basic Excel skills
- Hands-on, practical mindset - happy to muck in when needed

Working Pattern & Benefits
- Salary: Β£25,000-Β£26,000 pro-rata depending on experience
- A driver - rural site not accessible via public transport
- 3 full days per week or 5 shorter days (flexible)
- Office hours: 8:30am - 5:00pm (start time negotiable)
- 20 days holiday + bank holidays (pro-rata)
